The Magical Mystery Throttle (MMT) is sort of like the old "2 out of 3 ain't bad" song by Meatloaf -- it's neither Magical, nor Mysterious, just a nice simple Throttle for CO2 motors. It's so simple and brilliant that the pictures pretty much tell the whole story and you don't really need an explanation. I'm probably wasting my time writing one, but in case it's raining outside and you're really bored and have nothing better to do click HERE to read more about it.
Different throttle positions from idle to high. Each feed tube from the CO 2 tank ends in a valve inside the cylinder head. These valves are opened by each piston at TDC. Threading the cylinders in / out changes the amount that they open the valve and thus the thrust of the motor.

"Airplane" resting peacefully. The black wing covering is made from a really, really cheap, garbage bag.
This kind of bag is lousy for carrying garbage, but excellent for indoor flyers.
Did I mention that it's cheap and doesn't cost much?

This may not work with all motors. You'll have to experiment to find out.

Yes, this is all of it -- 1 gram total weight!
This is a 3 channel infrared proportional control system that works with either servos or actuators. It's simple to use, very reliable indoors, and amazingly light. You can find out more about it at the Z-TRON page. Click HERE
