Plastic "Spaghetti" Tubing 3-ft / $1
(more info coming soon)
Inside diameter is a little over .040"
.040" music wire or carbon rods slide freely inside the tubing when
mounted in straight sections. If the tubing is installed in a wide
curve such as for ailerons the diameter of the inner rod needs to
be smaller - .030" or even .020" - depending on how tight you make
the curve.
The tubing is NOT teflon, and therefore it can be CA'ed
in place very easily.

Molded Clevis / Control Horns - Set of 2 / $2.50
See the large metal part on the left? It's a
control cable end used on full-size aircraft. The
tapered part is split, you put the wire in it and
tighten the nut over the assembly which traps the
wire in place.
The plastic parts work the same way except that they're
black and I'm not good enough to take good photographs to show this (:-)
You get a clevis that grabs a piece of music wire,
carbon fiber rod, or pull-pull string and
then snaps into the control horn. The base ratchets
onto the bottom of the control horn (like a tie-wrap)
trapping the balsa or foam control surface in the middle.
The bottom of the control horn and the top of the base plate have
little molded barbs to hold the pieces in place. (A diagram
is included in the package to show how they all fit
together.)
Use .040" music wire or .040"-.050" carbon fiber or pull-pull.
