Compass Cutter Demo - Zepron Wheels

One of the things the compass cutter is good for is to make lightweight wheels from Zepron, foam plates or any other suitable materials.

You'll probably need a few minutes practice before you figure out the technique but I found that it's very easy to do. I found that it's best to make a 2 light passes because the heavier pressure of a single cut starts to distort the center hole.

For a hub you can use either #2 "Totally Tubular" inserts, "Carbon" Fittings or any other suitable material.

3.125" wheel is 1.2 grams
1.5" wheel is 0.3 grams
1.25" wheel is 0.2 grams
These two wheels have hubs made from medium and small CFF couplers
This wheel uses #2 "Totally Tubular" insert for a hub.
