CFF - Things You Can Make

To make an X-joint start by drilling a hole like shown here. Insert a rod through the hole you just made and hold it in position. Add separate cross-pieces into the side sockets.
This is a cube made with medium size T-fittings. All the fittings can be shaped with by heating it while pulling it into a different shapes and letting it cool in the new shape / position.

If you've followed along thus far (and if you're really, really bored)(:-) you can put these together and make a cube with crosses across the openings like you see on the left.

Hmmm.... what might this be good for?? ... (:-)

An example of medium T's used to make elevators. Here they're made with stub ends and they're joined by gluing them into the short piece of aluminum tube shown. The alu tube fits in (and pivots freely) in the large T fitting glued to the fuselage rod). The rudder fits in the smaller fitting set at 90 degrees and glued to the end of the fuselage.
